The Florida Right to Clean Water petition is an effort to amend Florida's constitution to legally recognize the right to clean and healthy water for all Floridians. It aims to hold the government accountable for protecting Florida's waterways, ensuring they are safe for drinking, swimming, fishing, and supporting ecosystems. This petition seeks to give citizens the power to enforce this right if water quality standards are not met.  This would allow us as citizens to sue companies that destroy our water.

Note that petitions are to be signed only by registered Florida voters.

To print out a PREFILLED petition, after clicking on the link to the prefilled petitions (you will see the tallyED logo in upper left corner), wait for a few seconds and then you'll see three options.

  • Number 1:  Find a Campaign....Choose Right to Clean and Healthy Waters

  • Number 2:  Find Your Voter Record..Click on County and scroll down and select Martin (if you are a Martin County resident).  Then enter First and Last Name and Search.  The tallyED app will then find your voter info.  Then click on Select.

  • Number 3:  Then you click on Go to get your petition.  You'll then be asked to enter your email address.  You should then receive an email that includes a .pdf of your petition.  Print it, sign it, and mail it to the address on the petition.  Be sure to use the same signature that you have on your voter registration card.

To print out a BLANK petition from the website, click on the Petition button.  You have a choice of English, Spanish,  or Creole petition.  Click on your language choice and the petition .pdf will appear.  Print it.

  • Number 1:  Fill out the Voter Registration section.   First, carefully fill out Name, Address, City, Zip.  Note that you enter the County, not the Country.

  • Number 2:  Then either enter your Voter Registration Number or your date of birth.

  • Number 3:  Then sign with the signature you used to register to vote.  It's important that signatures match signature on the voter registration card, or your petition may not be counted.  Enter date that you are signing the petition.   â€‹Then mail to the address on the petition or bring your completed petition to our headquarters and we will pass it on to the amendment coordinator.
